MIC WHO?
One Mic is a visual artist whose work channels raw emotion into aesthetic language, a fusion of personal testimony and cultural resistance. Born in 1997 in The Bronx, NY and now studying in Troy, NY, he constructs layered, mixed media works that resonate with a soul-deep urgency. Using recycled materials ranging from marble to various plastics, metals and fabrics. A practice that turns the canvas into a battlefield where color, form, and spirit confront themes of identity, trauma, love, and liberation.His work is a declaration of self-awareness, a challenge to the status quo, and a reminder that art is a tool for survival and transformation. His mission is to promote knowledge of self among the youth and awaken their highest potential. These aren’t just artworks; they’re living testimonies. Rooted in ancestral memory yet radically present, his compositions offer a place for reflection, confrontation, and healing.Deeply spiritual and unapologetic-ally grounded in his lived experience, One Mic’s art has been exhibited in respected galleries and collected by private and institutional voices that recognize the magnitude of his message. Through each new series of selected works, his mission continues to be redefining what it means to create art with a purpose.
